Van Bommel: `We need the old Bavarian arrogance`

Mark van Bommel returns to the Bayern Munich squad for the match against Freiburg on Saturday. The Bavarian giants need a win to keep track with the top teams in the Bundesliga.

Van Bommel made his comeback with Bayern earlier this week in a match against third league club Regensburg (0-1 loss).

The Dutch international was out for two months due to a toe injury, which he picked up in the season opener against Hoffenheim (1-1).

Just eight matches into the season, Der Rekordmeister already lost twelve points.

Van Bommel stays calm, although the Bundesliga leaders HSV and Leverkusen already gained eight points more than Bayern.

Luca Toni could also return to the squad this weekend. With fellow strikers like Ribery, Robben and Olic all suffering from injuries, the Italian international might catch his first Bundesliga action of the season.
