Van Buyten’s agent confirms Juventus talks

Bayern Munich defender Daniel Van Buyten’s agent has confirmed talks with Juventus.

But the agent has ruled out a move to the Serie A for the 31-year-old, who instead is in talks with Bayern over a contract extension.

“We have indeed talked with Juventus, but I think they are really after a younger defender who will become [Fabio] Cannavaro’s heir,” agent Roger Henrotay confessed to Tuttomercatoweb.

“We have not made contact with other clubs though, because it is well known that my client’s wish is to stay at Bayern.

“My son, who directly represents the interests of the player, is poised to meet with the Bavarian directors to extend his deal by two years.

“I would say there is a good chance this transaction will go through. We just need to fine-tune a few financial aspects.”
