Daniel Van Buyten is determined to get as much playing time as possible for Bayern Munich in the 2012-13 Bundesliga campaign.
The Belgium international featured in his first minutes of the season during the club’s 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt at the weekend after spending the past few months on the sidelines due to injury.
And the 34-year-old is thrilled to be fully match fit once again.
“I’m delighted every time I run out as a Bayern player. It’s an honour for me,” Van Buyten told the German giants’ official website.
“I want to play as often as possible in the remainder of the season. We have a tough programme through to the mid-season break, and we need every player.
“You have to maintain a positive attitude. You only earn success with hard work.”
Van Buyten has made well over 100 Bundesliga appearances for Bayern since joining the club in the summer of 2006.
