According to a recent report from AS, Real Madrid are set to complete the signing of Donny van de Beek from Ajax imminently. This comes in the wake of the news that they were unable to sign Paul Pogba, who was seemingly poised for a departure from Manchester United. Ajax, on the other hand, will have money coming out of their ears right now due to the amount of funds they’ve been able to raise from selling their top stars.
VDB is one of the last remaining big names in the squad that has survived the purge over the course of the summer, and it’ll be interesting to see whether or not the Dutch giants are able to keep hold of him.
The move isn’t going to be affected by their interest in Brazilian sensation Neymar, however, which is a deal that is still said to be in motion.
Either way, Real aren’t done just yet.
