Netherlands international midfielder Rafael van der Vaart is widely expected to leave Hamburger SV at the end of the current campaign, according to Bild.
The 32-year-old has a contract until the end of the season at Imtech Arena and it appears his second stint with HSV is drawing to a close.
Namely, with Van der Vaart earning around €3.5 million per season, the club chiefs are not prepared to offer him a new deal, especially given the standard of his latest performances.
The former Tottenham star has seen his form dip a great deal over the last couple of months, and the Dutch midfielder looks to be considering his options.
While his former club Ajax have registered interest, sides from Italy, Spain and North America are also believed to be keen.
Seeing as how Hamburg sit mere two points above the bottom three in German Bundesliga, you should know HSV are 5/1 to get relegated.
