Van der Vaart to join Chelsea next year?

Rafael Van der Vaart would like to join Chelsea — if Guus Hiddink stays on as boss, The Sun reported. The playmaker chose Real Madrid ahead of the Blues last summer but has fallen out of favour with chief Juande Ramos.

Now he is up for a move to Stamford Bridge — if fellow Dutchman Hiddink decides to take the manager’s job full-time. Van der Vaart said: “It’s flattering when someone like Guus Hiddink is interested as he is one of the best. If my World Cup selection is threatened I must think about a transfer.”
