Tottenham midfielder Rafael van der Vaart insists that he has no plans to leave White Hart Lane before the start of the new season.
Following the sacking of Harry Redknapp it was widely reported that the Dutch international was considering a move, with Hamburg and Schalke among the clubs supposedly interested in his signature.
But Van der Vaart says he has no desire to leave north London and wants to help Spurs to win the Premier League title.
“My place is at Spurs, I want to win the title with this club,” Van der Vaart told The Sun. “Each summer my name appears in the transfer market.
“The race for the top four will be a total war from the very first day.”
The former Real Madrid playmaker is looking forward to working under new Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas and is hoping that the former Chelsea boss will preserve the club’s attacking style.
“The new coach has good plans for me and this is important,” Van der Vaart said. “I have heard excellent reports about AVB.
“We have very good attacking [instincts] and if AVB imposes an offensive system the team could be a real spectacle.”
