Faced with a very real possibility of dropping points against a resilient Newcastle United, Liverpool proved their title credentials once again by coming up with another late winner, scored again by substitute Divock Origi. The Belgian striker rose high to divert a free-kick taken by Xherdan Shaqiri into the net, setting the final score to 2-3.

Trent Alexander-Arnold had initially lined up to take the free-kick, but Virgil van Dijk demanded loudly for it to be taken by Shaqiri. And it paid off as the Swiss international delivered a perfect in-swinging cross with his left foot to set Origi up and keep the Premier League title race alive ahead of the last round.
