Liverpool produced a controlling 2-0 win at St Mary’s with Virgil van Dijk returning to Southampton for the first time since leaving the club.
Dutchman produced a fine display for the Reds making sure Jurgen Klopp’s men ran out with another clean sheet.
He put in an arguably most interesting moment after the game, however, when a reported told him Manchester United lost to Newcastle earlier that day.
“Man United lost today? Ooooh, unlucky!”, he told, smiling.
