(GSM) – Louis van Gaal already knew that it would never be calm and peaceful at Bayern Munich when he signed his contract with the Bavarians this summer. However, the coach couldn’t suspect that he would have completely other thoughts about the team then Uli Hoeness, Bayern’s former teammanager and new president. Van Gaal and Hoeness argue over the transfers and the playing system.
Van Gaal stated that he wanted to buy new players. “That has to be done after this season, or maybe even in the winter break,” the Dutch tactician said. Hoeness disagrees with his coach. “I can assure that we won’t sign any new players this winter. We’ll see about that in the summer.”
The playing system also causes a discussion. “Even before Arjen Robben’s transfer, we discussed the system with Van Gaal and we agreed to play 4-4-2,” said Hoeness. Van Gaal wasn’t too happy with this explanation. “I disagree with Uli on that point. I don’t think you must commit yourself to one playing system. It depends on the players and their qualities how you play. I already told that to Uli when he signed me,” Van Gaal concluded.
