(GSM) – Bayern München manager Louis van Gaal showered his team’s star Arjen Robben with praise, saying that the Dutch winger’s winning-goal against Manchester United was simply ‘unbelievable’.

Robben volleyed the ball brilliantly from a Franck Ribery corner from the edge of the area 16 minutes from time to send the German giants to the Champions League semi-final on away goals. The Bavarian club’s 3-2 defeat left the aggregate scores locked at 4-4.

Van Gaal said, “The goal from Robben was unbelievable.

“The first half wasn’t very good and we had to improve. It’s incredible what we did in the second half – we played fantastically.

“It’s not always easy to play against 10 men. We played like a great team.”
