Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport has learned that AC Milan are considering a bid for Chelsea starlet Marco van Ginkel.
The Rossoneri have failed in their attempts to sign a new central midfielder and the Dutch youngster is the latest player on their hit-list.
Seeing as how the 21-year-old has seen very little playing time since joining from Vitesse, AC Milan chiefs hope to agree a season-long loan for his services.
In case the Blues reject their offer, the Rossoneri will shift their focus towards long-term target Blerim Dzemaili.
Marco van Ginkel was unfortunate to suffer a knee ligament injury shortly after arriving at Stamford Bridge and in turn managed just 2 Premier League appearances for the Blues.
Despite returning into action, the midfielder was not in contention for any of this season’s fixtures, and he is unlikely to play any part in weekend’s clash with Everton, where Chelsea are 1/1 to claim maximum points.
