Marco van Ginkel will not be rushed into a decision over his future, the Vitesse Arnhem midfielder’s agent has insisted.
The 20-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea with reports suggesting talks have taken place between Van Ginkel’s representatives and Stamford Bridge chiefs.
While agent Karel Jansen says there is interest from clubs to sign the highly rated Van Ginkel, he added that there is no rush to sign any deal, and denied having held discussions with Jose Mourinho.
Jansen told The Evening Standard: “Nothing is sure. There is interest but it is not the time for all parties to say something about it.
“A lot of things are being said and written and it’s a bit chaotic.
“From our side, we are just keeping quiet and we will see what happens.”
Van Ginkel was part of the Netherlands Under-21 squad which reached the semi-final of the recent UEFA European Under-21 Championships this summer.
He played three times in the tournament before his side lost to Italy at the semi-final stage.
