Netherlands coach Bert van Marwijk likened his side to Barcelona after their 4-0 thumping of Hungary in a Euro 2012 qualifier on Friday.

With Hungary’s PSV Eindhoven winger Balazs Dzsudzsak well covered by Dutch right-back Gregory van der Wiel, the Netherlands made the most of their ascendancy in the middle of the park with a dominant display.Rafael van der Vaart put the Dutch ahead in the eighth minute, and goals to Ibrahim Afellay, Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt and Arsenal marksman Robin Van Persie ensured the visitors secured their fifth win from five qualifying games, and a six-point lead on top of Group E.”I really enjoyed watching our football today,” van Marwijk said, adding that his team reminded him of La Liga leaders Barcelona in the way they went about their business in Budapest.”I think only few teams are capable of this play. We really humiliated Hungary, despite this being their crucial home match.””I said earlier that while we respect our rivals, we came here to win and that’s the mindset we had.””Much depends on self-confidence – which the Hungarians did not have while we did.”The win moved the Netherlands to 15 points from their five games, while Hungary are in second place in Group E with nine points. The two teams meet again on Tuesday when Hungary travel to the Amsterdam ArenA in what is sure to be a difficult assignment if they are to stay clear of Sweden and Moldova. The third-placed Swedes have six points, as do fourth-placed Moldova, ahead of their meeting in Solna on Tuesday.
