Van Marwijk trims Dutch squad to 27

Dutch coach Bert van Marwijk on Friday trimmed his preliminary World Cup squad from 30 to 27 players with Otman Bakkal (PSV Eindhoven), Wout Brama (FC Twente) and David Mendes da Silva (AZ Alkmaar) dropping out.

The squad will take part in a training camp in Austria next week although Wesley Sneijder, Mark van Bommel and Arjen Robben, who are involved in the May 22 Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Inter Milan, joining their teammates later.

Van Marwijk will make his final 23-man squad decision on May 27.
