Van Persie linked with Feyenord return

Fenerbache forward Robin van Persie has been linked with a sensational return to Feyenord, according to the Express.

The Netherlands international only moved to the Turkish Super Lig side in the summer, but is expected to move on after struggling to settle in Istanbul.

Van Persie spent three seasons in Feyenord’s first team having come through their youth ranks to go on and make seventy-eight appearances for the club, scoring twenty-two goals.

He then moved to the Premier League, spending eight years with Arsenal where he won an FA Cup, before moving to Manchester United in 2012.

He won the title in his first season at Old Trafford netted fifty-eight goals in one hundred and five games but was deemed surplus to requirements at the end of last season, eventually signing for Fenerbache in July.

Internationally he has been capped one hundred and one times for his country and is their all-time leading goalscorer with fifty strikes.
