Robin van Persie has been confirmed as Feyenoord’s new head coach.
The 41-year-old has left Heerenveen to take charge of Feyenoord after an agreement was reached between the two clubs.
He has signed a contract until 2027 and will be assisted by Rene Hake, who had been part of Erik ten Hag’s coaching staff earlier this season at Manchester United.
Van Persie enjoyed two spells at Feyenoord as a player, starting and finishing his career there, scoring 46 goals in 122 appearances.
The Dutchman was also an assistant coach at the club under Dick Advocaat and worked with their youth teams before leaving to take charge of Herenveen in May 2024.
