Van Persie rubbishes exit talk

Robin van Persie has dismissed speculation suggesting that he is unhappy at Manchester United, according to the Mail Online.

The Dutch international’s days at Old Trafford have appeared to be numbered in recent weeks, with Juventus, Monaco and his former club Arsenal all linked with moves to secure his services.
However, he has insisted that he is happy with life under David Moyes, despite the clubs stuttering form in the Scot’s first season in charge.

Van Persie’s goals were key in United clinching their twentieth league title last season, with the former Feyenord man’s tally of twenty-six winning him a second successive Premier League golden boot.

The 30 year old has also said that he would happily extend his stay with the club beyond the two years he has remaining on the deal he penned on arriving at the club in August 2012.

Manchester United welcome fierce rivals Liverpool to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, and Van Persie is the 9/2 favourite to get the first goal of the game.
