Sporting Lisbon striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel admits he is tempted by the reported interest from big European clubs.
The Dutch forward has enjoyed an excellent start to his career in Portugal and is now followed by a number of high-profile clubs.
The 22-year-old says he is delighted with how things have gone at Sporting Lisbon.
“2011 was a great year for me,” Van Wolfswinkel was quoted as saying in Portuguese daily Record. “I enjoyed every minute.”
The youngster admits he has been informed of the interest from big European clubs.
“I know that clubs are following me, but I pay no attention to it. If there should be something concrete, then I will listen. Until then, I’m not interested.”
The player reveals he is satisfied with the quality of Portuguese Primeira Liga.
“It is often said that the Portuguese league is at a low level, but that is an exaggeration. The top teams play good football.”
Van Wolfswinkel joined Sporting Lisbon in a €5.1 million deal from Utrecht in the summer and has been in scintillating form ever since.
The Dutch forward scored 7 goals in 11 league starts and is currently considered to be one of the most talented strikers in Europe.
Manchester United, Liverpool and Lazio have been showing interest in the player, but Sporting are not keen on selling their prized asset.
