Sporting Lisbon striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel stressed that he has no intention of leaving the club just yet.
The Netherlands international has developed into a key player at Sporting since joining the Portuguese outfit from Utrecht in the off-season and has attracted the interest of Manchester United.
However, van Wolfswinkel played down the transfer speculation and stated that he is keen to stay in the Portuguese capital.
“I don’t want to leave Sporting. All these rumours about a possible transfer are untrue. This kind of speculation is typical for the Portuguese, Italian and Spanish press,” van Wolfswinkel said to Record.
“I love playing for Sporting. I have the chance to develop into a better player here and play at a very high level week after week. Things are going very well for me at Sporting.”
The 22-year-old attacker, who has netted seven times this season, in contracted to Sporting until the end of the 2015-16 season.
