Having lost the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinal to Tottenham Hotspur by 1-0, Manchester City managed to win the second by 4-3, but Spurs still go through to the semifinal on away goals.
In an incredible finish of the game, Raheem Sterling scored what would have been a last-gasp winner in the 93rd minute, sending the Etihad into ecstasy. The celebrations were cut short as referee Cuneyt Cakir from Turkey signaled that he was disallowing the goal on VAR intervention.
