Portuguese forward Ricardo Jorge Vaz Te has left West Ham by mutual consent, the Premier League outfit announced on their official website.
The 28-year-old had a deal until the end of the season at Boleyn Ground, but the contract has been cancelled, allowing the striker to leave during the January transfer window.
Vaz Te joined West Ham from Barnsley some three years ago, and he enjoyed a great start to his career at the club, bagging 12 goals in 18 league appearances, and famously scoring a winner for the Hammers in the Championship play-off final against Blackpool.
He then went on to score mere three goals in his first Premier League campaign with the Hammers, and has been rarely used by manager Sam Allardyce over the last year and a half.
Vaz Te surprisingly started West Ham’s first three league matches this term, but has since made just one substitute appearance.
