Serie A outfit Fiorentina have set their sights on Lokomotiv Moscow defender Vedran Corluka, Il Corriere dello Sport has learned.
After agreeing a deal to sign midfielder Carlos Sanchez from Aston Villa, Viola are turning attention towards defensive reinforcements.
Il Corriere dello Sport claims that Vedran Corluka has emerged as their primary target, with new sporting director Panteleo Corvino eager to bring the Croatian to Artemio Franchi.
The 30-year-old could decide to look for a new challenge after spending last four years in Russia, and he is likely to be tempted by the opportunity to join Viola.
Should they fail to lure Corluka to Florence, Fiorentina will try and sign one of Karim Rekik and Sven van Beek, the two players that have shown a great deal of potential of late.
Both the Marseille defender and Feyenoord youngster are being linked with a summer exit, and they could be on the move this summer.
