Wolfsburg’s Grafite will skip this weekend’s match against Hertha BSC. The Brazilian striker now gets a week off from his coach at Wolfsburg, Armin Veh.
Grafite will travel to his mother country to get things back in order.
Grafite had an outstanding season last year: he scored 28 goals and had a decisive part in Wolfsburgs succesful title challenge. This season is a different story.
Lately, the 30-year-old has been under the weather, resulting in arguments with Veh and a stupid red card against Besiktas on Wednesday.
“Grafite is a very emotional person who put himself under immense pressure in the pre-season,” explained Veh. “He needs to clear his head and we give him the opportunity to do so.
“A couple of days in a different surrounding could be refreshing for him. I hope we get to see the old Grafite when he returns to Wolfsburg.”
