Vela happy at Arsenal

Arsenal striker Carlos Vela has revealed he is happy at the club and has no intention of going out on loan.

The Mexian youngster has been linked with loan moves to several Championship sides in recent months.

“I’m very pleased with my first season at Arsenal,” Vela told Setanta Sports. “Playing for one of the best teams in the world is huge.

“We are involved in many competitions, including the Champions League, and it’s fantastic to be part of this squad for a youngster like me.

“I’m very satisfied with my first season because I play more and more and earn confidence every time I’m given the chance to show myself.

“Do I play enough minutes? Yes, but obviously you always want more. I go step by step and make the most of every opportunity I’m given.”
