(GSM) – Vélez moved three points clear in Copa Libertadores Group 7 on Thursday as they fought back from a goal down to beat Colo Colo, 2-1 in Buenos Aires.

Ezequiel Miralles put the visitors in front in the eighth minute, but Vélez never seemed to let the early strike break their spirits.

Five minutes later, Vélez pulled level when Rodrigo López fired a shot beyond Colo Colo goalkeeper Francisco Prieto.

The home side continued to pressure, and it paid off in the 29th minute with the go-ahead goal off the foot of Uruguayan striker Santiago Silva.

The visiting Chileans did their best to fight back, but all hope was gone three minutes from time when Rodrigo Millar was sent off for a second bookable offense.
