Juventus have been doing a lot of business recently, but they could do some more in early 2020. According to Tuttosport, the Serie A champions are keeping close tabs on Ajax right-back Joel Veltman. Last summer, Juventus have been mixing things around at right-back, as they sold Joao Cancelo to Manchester City and decided to take the Brazilian Danilo the other way.
But that has not worked out perfectly either. Danilo has been injured now and Mattia De Sciglio is also unavailable for play for the same reason, which meant that Maurizio Sarri had to deploy Juan Cuadrado as a makeshift right-back. While the Colombian winger actually performed well at right-back, that is not his position and in a long run, that is not a sustainable choice for Juventus.
That is why the Old Lady are looking for a better long-term solution and have been watching Veltman’s games as they weigh up a bid.
