Serie A side Hellas Verona have confirmed that they will turn Juan Manuel Iturbe’s loan deal into permanent transfer.
The Gialloblu have the option to purchase the player’s contract for €15 million and they are certain to exercise the clause having witnessed some stunning displays from the Argentine.
However, Hellas Verona chairman Giovanni Gardini has confirmed reports that Iturbe will subsequently be sold to a big European club.
“Whether Iturbe will stay in Verona? He is a phenomenal player, I admire him very much and it is a privilege to have him with us,” Gardini told Telenuovo.
“But, I’d be surprised if he continued here. I do not think the big European clubs are blind. First we purchase him and then we’ll see what is best for everyone.”
Juan Manuel Iturbe has so far been linked with quite a few top sides including Real Madrid, Juventus, Napoli, Inter and Monaco, and everything suggests Verona will sell him to the highest bidder.
The the 20-year-old has been in fine form this season, having managed 6 goals and 4 assists in 31 Serie A outings.
Following back to back wins over Atalanta and Catania, Hellas Verona remain in the hunt for the final Europa League berth, and the Gialloblu are 17/4 to defeat Lazio on the road on Monday.
