“I can finish my career here, if the club wants it. Whatever happens, I will always remain grateful to PSG.”
Those are the words of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti, who has confirmed that he would be interested in finishing his career with the French champions during a recent interview with Le Parisien. There have been rumours surrounding the 26 year old’s future at PSG as of late, with some believing that he was leaning towards a move away. However, if the Italian is to be believed, then PSG fans can breathe a sigh of relief.
Verratti has been in the French capital since back in 2012, when he made the jump over from Pescara. Since then he has been a constant force at the heart of the club’s midfield, and has often been praised as one of the most underrated midfielders in world football.
His dribbling, ability to react to the ball and close control are three of the many attributes that he possesses, and it’s understandable that PSG would want to keep hold of him by any means necessary.
