Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has dropped a fresh hint that he could be joining Juventus in the near future.
The 20-year-old only joined the Saints last summer, but has been repeatedly linked with a return to Serie A.
Verratti has stated that he is happy at Parc des Princes, but, nonetheless, hinted that he could be leaving next summer.
“I’m all right in France. And until June I am staying at PSG,” Verratti explained to La Stampa.
He then revealed that he planned to return to Italy and test his skills in the Serie A.
“One day I will return to play in Serie A, a very competitive championship.”
Asked how he feels about Juventus’ desire to lure him to Turin, Verratti replied:
“That pleases me, because it is a great club and it means I am doing well.”
Verratti was on the verge of signing for Juventus before Paris Saint-Germain hijacked Juve’s bid for the midfielder, and it appears the players has regretted not having signed for the Bianconeri.
He has been playing pretty regularly for the Saints this season, but it is perfectly clear that he would jump at the opportunity to return to Italy should one arise.
