Jan Vertonghen is the latest Tottenham Hotspur player in line for a new contract, according to the Mirror.
A number of Mauricio Pochettino’s squad have put pen to paper since the start of this season and now Vertonghen is set to follow suit, with his current deal set to expire at the end in the summer of 2018.
The former Ajax man moved to White Hart Lane in the summer of 2012 and has since racked up one hundred and seventy-seven appearances in all competitions, scoring eight goals.
Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Danny Rose and Kyle Walker have all committed their future to the North London outfit though there is still some way to go in prospective deals for goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and striker Harry Kane.
Spurs are the only unbeaten side left in the Premier League and can now be backed at a price of 20/1 to win the league.
