Czech veteran Tomas Galasek is seriously considering a return to the German Bundesliga. Currently playing for Banik Ostrava in his home country, the midfielder expressed his interest in a move to Borussia Mönchengladbach.
“My family are still living in Nürnberg, so as far as personal circumstances go it would be ideal to move to Borussia M’gladbach,” said the player in an interview with German newspaper Bild.
Galasek’s contract with Banik lasts only one season, due to the player’s age. For the Czech side, the only way to earn a fee would be to allow a winter transfer to take place.
The now 35-year-old began his career at Banik in 1991, but spent most of it in the Netherlands representing Willem II and Ajax respectively. From 2006, the player spent two seasons at Nürnberg.
