Veteran German striker Neuville extends at Monchengladbach

Veteran German international striker Oliver Neuville is extending his contract at Borussia Monchengladbach till 2010, the Bundesliga club said on Saturday.

The 35-year-old Neuville, who has 69 caps and scored 10 times for his country, has been at Gladbach since 2004 but the club lie bottom of the league on their return to the top flight.

Neuville, born in Italian-speaking Switzerland, has previously played for Spanish first division side Tenerife, Hansa Rostock and Bayer Leverkusen.
