Veteran Argentine keeper Leo Franco has returned to Spain by signing for Real Zaragoza after just one season with Turkish giants Galatasaray. Franco, 33, has put pen to paper a two year deal with Zaragoza.
Franco started off his career with Indepediente, but left them in 1997 to join Merida. A season later, he was off to Real Mallorca and he spent six years with the Balearic Islanders before joining Atletico Madrid in 2004. He made over a hundred and fifty appearances for Los Colchoneros before opting to sign for Galatasaray last season.
Franco will compete with Toni Doblas for the right to stand under the sticks next season.
