(GSM) – Belgian veteran Timmy Simons is set to continue his career at German Bundesliga side Nürnberg.
The 33-year-old spent the last five seasons at PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands after representing Lommel and Club Brugge in the earlier years of his career.
In the 2006-07 season, Simons was appointed captain of PSV after the departure of Mark van Bommel to FC Barcelona.
“We have been in talks for a long time,” Simons said about his transfer. “The mission, as described to me, is to be an experienced player in a young team. This is a great attraction to me.”
Simons will play his last match for PSV this Saturday, a friendly against Ipswich Town.
