There has been a lot of talk about the future of Victor Wanyama. The Kenyan has been linked with a move to Belgium, following numerous injuries that have harmed his time at Tottenham Hotspur, but in the end, that was not the move he made.
Instead, he opted for going across the pond and joining Montreal Impact. After falling out of favour at the north London club, Wanyama decided to make a move to Major League Soccer, where he will have the chance to work with Thierry Henry as his head coach. Wanyama is 28 years old and is joining Impact on a free transfer as a Designated Player, on a three-year deal.
Wanyama will link up with the Impact once his medical is completed and international clearance is processed. He will be a Designated Player, which means he will be one of the top earners not only at his club, but probably in the league as well.
