There was great relief at Glanford Park yesterday afternoon after Scunthorpe recorded their first victory of the season when they defeated Peterborough United 1 – 0.
It was third time lucky for The Iron who were relegated from the Championship after only one season in the second tier.
A first half penalty by Paul Hayes was enough to see Scunthorpe through.
