Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal has rubbished speculation linking him with a move away from Juventus by revealing that he is perfectly happy in Turin.
The highly rated footballer has been the subject of interest from Manchester United and Real Madrid, among other clubs, but he has so far remained with the Bianconeri.
Vidal now reveals that he was not concerned by the transfer talk and suggests there were no concrete offers for his services during the summer.
“The truth is I was relaxed and calm this summer, focusing only on my knee. I never once asked my agent or Juventus if something was happening,” Vidal confessed to Tuttosport.
“I have a pact with my agent: if there is something concrete, then he alerts me. He did not alert me.
“I don’t know exactly what happened during the summer, but I doubt it was anything truly important, otherwise he would’ve warned me.”
Asked what would he have done had the Red Devils made a concrete proposal, Vidal replied:
“I really don’t know… I can only say that I am happy in Turin. I am happy, my wife loves Turin, Alonsito and the little one are happy here.
“My family’s happiness is more important than money or anything else. At Juventus I am happy, it is my home. It’s always tough to leave your home, isn’t it?”
Arturo Vidal has developed into one of world’s top midfielders since joining the Bianconeri from Bayer Leverkusen in 2011, scoring 30 goals in first 100 Serie A appearances.
The 27-year-old also starred for Chile at the 2014 World Cup, although he was unable to play to his potential having struggled with a knee problem.
