Vidal ready to join AS Roma

AS Roma have emerged as favourites to sign Barcelona full-back Aleix Vidal, according to Sport Mediaset.

The Giallorossi have decided to reinforce the right flank with the former Sevilla defender, and former los Rojiblancos chief Monchi has already contacted the player’s agents.

Considering that Vidal is happy to consider an offer from Stadio Olimpico, AS Roma are now expected to open talks with Barcelona.

Despite arriving at Camp Nou as one of La Liga’s leading full-backs, the 28-year-old was never given a real chance to impress.

Having amassed mere 20 league appearances in almost two years, Vidal is almost certain to leave in January, with former club Sevilla and AS Roma leading the chase at the moment.
