Barcelona full-back Aleix Vidal may not have a long-term future at Camp Nou, El Mundo Deportivo has suggested.
Despite seeing his rival for a starting berth Dani Alves leave the club this summer, the 27-year-old remains outside of Luis Enrique’s plans.
Vidal was left out of the squad for the Champions League clash against Celtic, where the Catalans are 1/3 for a half-time/full-time win.
And with the full-back having made just one La Liga appearance for the Catalans since 12 March, it appears that his days at Camp Nou are numbered.
Talented midfielder Sergi Roberto is currently the first option at right-back and even though Vidal had impressed playing for Sevilla on the right hand side, he had a slow start to his career at Barcelona, while also missing six months of action due to club’s transfer ban.
