There were some rather incredible scenes in Mexico’s ‘Clasico Nacional’ between Chivas and Club America at the weekend.
Namely, America manager Ricardo La Volpe got sent off for a brilliantly unusual reason.
With his team trailing 1-0 with only fifteen minutes left on the clock, La Volpe decided to get on the pitch, tackle an opposing player and take the ball away from him to rush the play.
Naturally, he got sent off for his antics, at the same time sparking a turmoil on the pitch and on the stands.
