Speaking ahead of his team’s FA Cup replay against Tottenham Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri revealed he is not worried over Jamie Vardy’s lack of goals for the Foxes.
Club’s top scorer hasn’t been able to get his name on the scoresheet for eight games now after crushing the Premier League record this season, but his manager believes that goals will come ‘sooner or later’.
Ranieri explained that his lack of goals is normal as Vardy didn’t train properly during last two months.
“That is normal. But I think when strikers like him I say, ‘okay, didn’t score now – score the next (game) because it’s very close’. Sooner or later he’ll restart scoring, and that’s it”, said Claudio Ranieri.
Jamie Vardy has this season scored 15 goals in 22 Premier League appearances, while he is yet to make his mark in the Cup competitions.
Leicester City are getting ready to welcome Tottenham for the FA Cup last 32 round replay following the first game at White Hart Lane which ended in 2-2 draw.
This will also be the third game between the two sides in ten days and the Foxes stand at 39/20 to beat Spurs on Wednesday.
