Botafogo met Barcelona SC – the Ecuadorian namesake of the more prominent La Liga giants – in the Copa Libertadores earlier last week.
The funniest moment happened in this match when Barcelona SC goalkeeper Maximo Banguera ran high outside his area to prevent a counterattack and knocked down a Botafogo player.
Aware he made a terrible mistake, Banguera decided to play dead in order to try and avoid getting a red card.
He stayed on the ground for a while, but could not avoid his faith in the end.
