Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will not be punished for his part in the injury-time tussle at Chelsea on Saturday, the Football Association confirmed.
Jose Mourinho was involved in a touchline and tunnel incident with Chelsea coach Marco Ianni who’s been charged with improper conduct.
Ianni celebrated Chelsea’s last-gasp equalizer in front of the United bench, thus sparking an angry reaction from Mourinho swho had to be forcibly dragged away from Stamford Bridge tunnel.
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri and coach Marco Ianni later on apologized to Mourinho, who later on said he accepted the apology.
“The assistant has already come to me and apologized. I told him to forget it. I have made a lot of mistakes in my career. He was very impolite but Sarri took care of the situation,” Mourinho told after the game.
