Colombia did not enjoy the best of starts to their first 2018 World Cup match against Japan.
The South Americans fell behind after only six minutes of play. Carlos Sanchez handled the ball inside the box for which he got sent off, ultimately allowed Shinji Kagawa to put Japan on the front foot after the Borussia Dortmund star placed the ball in the back of the net from the penalty spot.
The Colombian team refused to back down and got their reward after 39 minutes when Juan Quintero scored a genius free kick.
He cleverly placed the ball below the wall and saw it cross the line even though Japan goalkeeper claimed otherwise.
