England defeated Costa Rica in an international friendly on Thursday night with Manchester United Marcus Rashford opening the scoring with a sublime long range shot.
The Three Lions secured a morale boosting 2-0 victory but it was this moment of individual brilliance from the young striker that hit the headlines – and for a good reason too.
Rashford unleashed a powerful and wild shot towards Keylor Navas’ goal after only 13 minutes of play and placed the ball in the back of a net with a fantastic dip.
He knew exactly what he was doing and Real Madrid shot stopper was left looking hopelessly towards his teammates who allowed Rashford to find just enough space to fire a thunderbolt that will surely helm him secure a starting berth in Russia.
