Uruguay heavyweights Penarol recorded a 1-0 victory over Progreso this weekend.
On the first look you’d say there was nothing unorthodox about this game. Still, the second placed side in the Uruguayan Primera Division realized upon arriving to Sunday’s match they mistakenly brought a wrong goalkeeper’s shirt and that’s when things start to become interesting.
As Penarol scratched their head in surprise and looked for a solution, the fans instantly found one.
Penarol’s most faithful decided to press one of their own into lending his replica shirt to the goalkeeper in order to get the game going.
Interestingly, he didn’t seem to happy about it.
