Video: Riyad Mahrez refuses to comment on his future

Leicester City and Algeria winger Riyad Mahrez was awarded Algeria’s Ballon d’Or trophy in a ceremony during which he spoke about his club and the fantastic season for the Foxes in the Premier League.

Mahrez claims he is very happy in Leicester, but he has refused to comment on his future as he didn’t want for his comments to be misinterpreted by his club.

“I don’t see where else I would go, not for the time being”, he added, smiling.

Riyad Mahrez has been one of the best players in Claudio Ranieri’s team this season. The flamboyant winger has played 22 Premier League games this term scoring 13 goals in the process.

He has suffered a dip in form though, as he failed to get his name on the scoresheet in the last eight games in all competitions for Leicester City.

The Foxes are currently occupying the top spot in the Premier League standings with 47 points to their name, with a three-point cushion in front of Manchester City and Arsenal, who are level at 44 points so far.
