Video: Stuttgart Concede Own-Goal From Throw-In

Stuttgart almost had an embarrassing moment cost them a victory over Werder Bremen this weekend when a proper blooper occurred after a seemingly innocent throw in.

With Stuttgart a goal up at their Mercedez-Benz Arena, Borna Sosa took a throw-in from the left sideline and decided to pass it on too goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler who wasn’t even looking at his teammate.

Zieler was fixing his shin pads when Sosa passed him the ball – which trickled by him and rolled into the back of the net.

Fortunately, Stuttgart clawed back to a 2-1 victory thanks to Gonzalo Castro who saved the three points in the 74th minute.
