Having been bombarded with vile racist abuse over the past couple of days on social media, Sweden midfielder Jimmy Durmaz decided to make a public statement with his teammates holding his back.
The 29-year-old gave away the free-kick that led to Toni Kroos scoring the 95th minute winner in Sochi and it made Durmaz a target for racial abuse.
The player of Turkish descent delivered an empathic speech in response to his abusers during which he even dropped the F word.
